Recommended Uses & Code Compliance Residential support columns. DO NOT USE AS A RAILING POST OR FOR LATERAL LOADS. TOP OF POST MUST BE SECURED TO SUPERSTRUCTURE. THIS IS FOR COMPRESSION LOADS ONLY.
Composite Decking Pre-drill screw holes before driving screws into composite decking. Composite and synthetic boards are very dense and if holes are not pre-drilled you may snap off the head of the screw. Also pre-drilling holes on wood or composite deck boards anytime a screw will be driven very close to the edge of a board. This will prevent the board from splitting.
Recommended Wood Species Common construction softwoods. Hardwoods can be used but boring the center hole requires more skill and effort due to density of wood.
