Recommended Uses & Code Compliance Guard rails on concrete or wood. Pergola or pavilion structures. Shade sail surface mounted posts. Light standards. Tested for a minimum of 500# of lateral resistance at top of a stand alone 42" post.
Composite Decking Pre-drill screw holes before driving screws into composite decking. Composite and synthetic boards are very dense and if holes are not pre-drilled you may snap off the head of the screw. Also pre-drilling holes on wood or composite deck boards anytime a screw will be driven very close to the edge of a board. This will prevent the board from splitting.
Recommended Wood Species Common construction softwoods such as pine, spruce, cedar, Doug fir, Hem-fir. Not recommended for hardwoods given the difficulty of boring holes into hardwoods such as ipe, cumaru, etc.
